Draw ABN AMRO Open Rotterdam 2025 featuring Alcaraz-Van de Zandschulp and Medvedev-Wawrinka

The draw has been completed ahead of ABN AMRO Open in Rotterdam which takes place between 3-9 February, 2025 with Carlos Alcaraz as top seed in Holland.
Alcaraz will face Botic van de Zandschulp in the opening round as he battles the home crowd as well as the Dutchman. He then could take on Felix Auger-Aliassime who is one of the top unseeded stars involved.
At the ATP 500, Daniil Medvedev also stars as second seed. He faces Stan Wawrinka. Stefanos Tsitsipas also has a late wildcard and faces Matteo Berrettini or Tallon Griekspoor.
Alex de Minaur heads from Davis Cup action to Holland as he faces David Goffin, while Jakub Mensik and Alexander Bublik loom in his section. As does the rising star contingent of Arthur Fils who faces a qualifier then Aleksandar Kovacevic or Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard.
Hubert Hurkacz will face Flavio Cobolli, winner could take on Jiri Lehecka or Alexei Popyrin. Andrey Rublev will face Zhizhen Zhang with the winner going up against Jan-Lennard Struff or Fabian Marozsan not to mention Holger Rune v Lorenzo Sonego. The definition of a stacked draw over the next week.
That is without Jannik Sinner, the defending champion also not making it to Rotterdam. He decided to withdraw with Tsitsipas being his replacement so even in losing him, the star names still descend on one of the oldest running traditions post Australian Open.
Initially staged on indoor carpet courts, it switched to indoor hard courts in 2000. The event has been a key fixture in the tennis calendar, attracting top players like Roger Federer, Björn Borg, and more recently, Daniil Medvedev and Jannik Sinner. Arthur Ashe won the inaugural edition, while Federer holds the record for most titles (three). The tournament has been sponsored by ABN AMRO since 1974.

I once admired Kyrgios for his previous good-willed willingness to get honest help for his mental health issues but that all went down the drain once he figured he could reel money in through publicity stunts using the negativity of his problems in such a way as to declare them 'no longer problems' but something which he could become more entangled in just to boost an anti-hero image. Shame on him for turning his back on common human decency and good-willed fraternity. Instead he opts to make a 'hero' out of villany. I'm sorry Nick but u are only doing more harm to yourself in the long run by trying to serve up a bad name for the sport you claim to so proudly represent. Get real mate, tennis is not for hoons, neither is hoon-behaviour the hallmark of sporting integrity. It's an utter disgrace!
