Former World No.1
Roger Federer may have hung up his tennis racket several months ago, but the Swiss superstar is still raking in the millions despite ending his illustrious career.
In a list compiled by Forbes magazine, the 20-time Grand Slam champion came in ninth place amongst the highest paid athletes in the world. Although Federer earned a mere $100,00 for his on-court performance over the past year, he amassed an amazing $95 million off the court.
Federer remains one of the most marketable athletes on the planet, and has several endorsements with various brands, ranging from Nike to Rolex. Additionally, the 41-year old announced a licensing agreement for his RF brand with eyewear maker Oliver Peoples.
The list was headed by soccer sensations Cristian Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, with NBA superstar Lebron James and boxing stalwart Canelo Alvarez rounding out the top five.
