Maria Sharapova was coached by Rick Macci when she was very young and the former coach of Serena Williams shared a story about her from that time.
Macci commentates on Tennis on Twitter from time to time and he shared a brief story about how Maria Sharapova ended up playing with her right hand. When she was 11, Sharapova trained under Macci and her father wanted her to switch to being a lefty player - play with her left hand. They tried it out for a month but ultimately Sharapova returned to her favoured right hand and everything worked out well as she was able to create some iconic tennis moments.
