British Jack Draper defeated Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinals of Indian Wells 2025, earning a place in the final of the tournament. The British player played a very good match, although he acknowledged that the development of the match was quite particular.

Impressive victory for Jack Draper against No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz to advance for the first time to the final of an ATP 1000 tournament. The UK No. 1 took advantage of the Spaniard's mistakes and his poor afternoon on serve to win an extremely changeable match 6-1, 0-6, 6-4.

The left-hander is playing better and better and it seems that those who saw him as one of the top players to watch in the coming years were not wrong. With his win, Draper will be moving into the top 10 in the world, and given that he is not defending many points in this part of the season, he could continue to climb the rankings if he does well in Miami.

After the match, here's what the world No. 13 had to say: "It was a strange game. Carlos came out... It was a little flat. The first set was fast. I had a chance in the first game of the second. He came out with an ace. It kind of happened to me, what happened to him..."

"In the first set. I got tense. I had little energy. Against the best players in the world, they can change their momentum very quickly. I lost myself for twenty-five minutes. In the third I came out, very proud of my competitiveness and my attitude. Somehow I got over the line at the end."

"Obviously a world of confidence. Right now I'm not thinking too much about the top 10. I've got a few more to beat. All my focus is on that. I'm incredibly proud of my accomplishments.... To beat Carlos on this track is an incredible feeling for me, for my team and for everyone close to me. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be healthy, to be able to compete at this level and to have another chance to go for it tomorrow," concluded the Briton, who will face Holger Rune for the title in California.
