After winning the biggest title of his career at the Indian Wells ATP Masters event, Jack Draper revealed he had yet to receive the trophy, adding he was extremely surprised by it's heavy weight.
The British No.1 defeated World No.4 Taylor Fritz and defending champion Carlos Alcaraz en route to the final, where he took on Danish star Holger Rune. Draper saved his best tennis for last, dismissing the young star in straight sets to win his maiden ATP Masters 1000 title.

Draper is yet to be reunited with his trophy

The prestigious Indian Wells trophy is one of the heaviest in tennis, and Draper was warned not to lift it prior to the trophy presentation. However, the London native insisted on doing so, and revealed he almost suffered an injury due to it's heavy weight, as it weighs about 38 pounds or 17 kilograms.
"I nearly tore my shoulder off, lifting it up," said Draper. "Well, [I was told], ‘Don't lift it up’, but, I mean, I just won a title, and a really big one as well, so I had to hold that thing up."
When asked about where he stores his prized trophy, Draper revealed he had it shipped to his house and would decide on it's location at a future date.
"I didn't bring it back myself, think I'm getting it shipped,” said the World No.7. “So it will probably go to the home address because I mean, I didn't realize how it was like 35 kilograms."
Draper is currently competing at the Monte-Carlo Masters, where he defeated American Marc Giron in their opening round encounter.
