Petra Kvitova is out of Roland Garros after getting beaten by Cocciaretto in straight sets and the loss had to do with an injury she carried over from Miami.
Kvitova didn't play that well in that match losing it in straight sets and after the match, the Czech player admitted that a problem kept her from playing her best. It's something she has been dealing with for a while but it got worse during the
Miami Open where she made a surprise run to the final ultimately ending up with the trophy.
No regrets
The Czech player admitted that she did create a bigger problem for herself at the event but it was worth it because she ended up with the trophy:
“I have had the growth on my leg for many years, the shoe presses on my Achilles & it hurts every time I move. A bigger inflammation developed, I brought it from Miami, where I probably dragged it. But I'm not complaining, the title was worth it”
