Nick Kyrgios has accepted a wild card entry into the National Bank Open (Rogers Cup), as announced by Tennis Canada on Wednesday.
The Australian will be making his seventh appearance at the event, where he holds a 5-6 record.
“I’m really pleased to be playing in Toronto this year,” said Kyrgios. “I’ve always enjoyed my time in Canada and have great memories of playing there. Hopefully I can play well and put on a good show for my Canadian fans.”
The World No.77 is coming off a first round loss at the Citi Open Washington, where he fell to American Mackenzie McDonald in straight sets. He also competed in Atlanta two weeks ago, and holds a 7-5 record this season.
The National Bank Open will be held in Toronto, Canada and runs from August 9-15, 2021.
