Taylor Fritz will join Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev and Daniil Medvedev in the 2024
ATP Finals in Turin. He clinched his spot before his campaign at the Paris Masters even begins.
It is a new-look Fritz who sports a new blonde look, but it is very much the same consistency. He made the semi-finals in 2022 and he he has qualified twice in the past three years. He will play between 10-17 November in Turin.
He is the fifth player to secure his spot in the season finale and sealed his position one day before he turns 27. Some birthday gift after a great year for the American. He reached his maiden major final which helped him towards the spot. He became the first American male to make a Grand Slam singles final since Andy Roddick in 2009. He did so at the US Open losing to Jannik Sinner.
He also sealed titles at Delray Beach and Eastbourne. Also making the final in Munich, semi-finals in Madrid and Shanghai and Quarter-Finals at Australian Open and Wimbledon. He lost to Novak Djokovic two years ago and last year was an alternate. Albeit he turned up despite being injured in a farcical exhibition after Stefanos Tsitsipas had to withdraw injured meaning Hubert Hurkacz took his place.
He is fully fit though this time and will look to recount memories of 2022. The rest of the field is up in the year with as much as 10 vying for very little real estate. Novak Djokovic though remains in pole position - but the next question is whether he takes said spot.
