Milos Raonic kicked off Wednesday's tennis schedule in Belgium today with a match against Aljaz Bedene and he defeated him in straight sets to move on.
He lost only two points on his 1st serve all set long and he never faced a break point. The 2nd set was mostly dominated by very convincing tennis from both players when they serve. Neither allowed the other player much. Raonic did have a break point midway through the set but he failed to use it. Games quickly piled up and the player's found themselves in a tiebreak. Bedene had two consecutive break points at 6-5 which were set points but Milos save them.
In the tiebreak it was Milos who played better. Ultimately it proved enough for Bedene who lost the tiebreak 7-4 and the match as well. A good start for Milos who will look to improve on his semifinal result last week. Today was a good start.
