Rafael Nadal showed just how good he can be on clay especially on the red clay of
Roland Garros and afterwards, he simply said that he was happy.
Rafael Nadal smashed McDonald from the USA on clay at the Roland Garros and while the result was no surprise given the love Americans have for the surface his humbleness post-match certainly was. After the match, Nadal simply spoke about his happiness of competing in Paris as it was a special place for him. He said:
"I am very happy. [It] will be another difficult match against Travaglia or Nishikori. I hope to play a good level. It’s always very special to play here in Paris, especially here on Court Philippe-Chatrier, so I’m very happy to play another time.”
His performance was sensation from beginning to start and speaking on his preparation he said:
"I am just trying my best every single day. I am working hard in every practice to try to be better and better in every match. Today was not that cold, so that's the main thing. Not that cold, the conditions are not that bad."
