Pegula was
eliminated in the round of 16 of the BNP Paribas Open
Indian Wells after a loss
to Petra Kvitova in the third set tiebreak that ended 13-11 in favor of the
Czech player, with the American wasting four match points. After the defeat,
the world No. 3 was able to take a few days off before her debut at the Miami
Open.
“Trying to
post more non tennis content,” wrote Pegula on her Instagram account with some
pictures.
The
American will make her debut against the winner of the match between young star
Linda Fruhvirtova and qualifier Katherine Sebov. She will also team up with
Coco Gauff for doubles and face Czech sisters Linda and Brenda Fruhvirtova.
