Andrey Rublev has been well known in the past year and a half from suffering with outbursts on the tennis court and this has continued into the new season at Indian Wells.

Rublev has in particular smashed his racquet off his knee and made himself bleed ironically against Francisco Cerundolo who he was facing in training again over the past day.

Journalist Jose Moron captured the moment where he made a mistake in training and he decided to smash his racquet off the ground. Of course in comparison to matchplay, he won't get a warning or a fine for doing this.

But it still remains a concern for a player who was disqualified last season for screaming in an umpire's face and has notably suffered with mental health issues and has let his anger get the better of him at times.

“Mentally I was out of order (in recent months). I guess it was already a long moment of everything (getting to him) and I started to burn out, because I was struggling for many years with depression, with many things outside of the court," said Rublev last year.

“I guess this year it’s when I can’t handle it anymore, and it starts to just explode. It started to explode more and more on the court, because in life I was able to stay calm but inside the court I was burning everything.”
