In a collaboration between two different worlds, tennis legend
Rafael Nadal took to social media to reshare a post made by famous Colombian singer Sebastian Yatra, where the latter was seen practicing with the 22-time Grand Slam champion at is academy.
Nadal, who has been out of action since January, nonetheless invited Yatra to train with him. The musician is scheduled to hold a free concert for his fans at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center later this month. Additionally, he will also be playing some exhibition tennis against top players like Carlos Alcaraz at the stadium.
Yatra receives some important tennis lessons from the Spaniard
After touring the academy, Yatra met Nadal on the court for a brief practice session. Just before the session started, Yatra proclaimed that the Spaniard was the 'best coach' and 'the best player of all time'.
"I had the great fortune of getting the best coach, or best player of all time," he said.
Nadal proceeded to exchange a few hits with Yatra, giving the musician tips in the process.
"When it stays close to the net, come forward," advised the former World No.1. "Apart from hitting the ball well if you don't have flow, you can't do it."
The 14-time Roland Garros champion later took to Instagram to wish Yatra good luck for his exhibition match.
"I'm sure you'll make a great game, Good luck and have a good time!" the Spaniard wrote in an Instagram story.
