The WTA will see a brief return to clay following the conclusion of
Wimbledon, with players descending upon the city of Lausanne, Switzerland for the
Ladies Open Lausanne from July24-30, 2023.
A WTA 250 event, the Ladies Open Lausanne will feature a 32-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles field. Hometown hero
Belinda Bencic is expected to compete at the event, although defending champion Petra Martic is not scheduled to compete this year.

Mirra Andreeva will look to resume her season, after making a Cinderella run at Wimbledon by reaching the round of 16. French veteran Alize Cornet will be present, alongside 2020 Australian Open champion
Sofia Kenin.
