The draw has been completed ahead of the 2025 Qatar Open which takes place in Doha on the WTA side between Sunday 9 February - Saturday 15 February. Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff are among the star cohort of players.

The top eight seeds all have first round byes and all but one faces a former top 20 opponent in the second round aside from one. The top tie albeit is a bit of a mismatch given their recent formline is Aryna Sabalenka facing off against either Emma Raducanu or Ekaterina Alexandrova.

Raducanu was controversially given a 12th wildcard out of her last 16 tournaments and faltered in Singapore and Abu Dhabi over the past two weeks. No.2 seed Swiatek will face off against either Maria Sakkari or a qualifier.

Jessica Pegula will await a meeting against either Marketa Vondrousova or Elina Svitolina on her return to action. Zheng Qinwen faces either Ons Jabeur or McCartney Kessler. The latter having won two WTA Tour titles in the past seven months.

Coco Gauff starts off against either Marta Kostyuk or wildcard Zeynep Sonmez. Jasmine Paolini heads into a vital fortnight defending her Dubai title and will face Caroline Garcia or Yuan Yue.

Emma Navarro faces off against former US Open finalist Leylah Fernandez or a qualifier. Whilst Elena Rybakina is the only top eight seed who doesn't open against a former top 20 player. But it isn't to say it is easy in the slightest. She faces either Dayana Yastremska or Peyton Stearns.

Last year Rybakina who is still in action in Abu Dhabi lost in the final to Swiatek 7-6, 6-2 with both returning having to defend those points. This is where Sabalenka also gets a leg up. She has not played this event in the past two years choosing instead for a longer celebration after the Australian Open. But she will this time so any good run is free points to keep her at the top.
