Mirra Andreeva turned 18 on Tuesday, April 29, continuing her impressive rise on the WTA Tour. The Russian teenager is currently the youngest player inside the top 100 and already holds two WTA 1000 titles from the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships and Indian Wells.
She celebrated her coming of age during the Madrid Open, where she reached the quarterfinals after claiming three straight victories. She defeated Marie Bouzkova (6-3, 6-4), 27th seed Magdalena Frech (7-5, 6-3), and Ukraine’s Yuliia Starodubtseva (6-1, 6-4).
Ranked world No. 7, Andreeva was playing her first WTA tournaments just two years ago at age 16. In 2023, she received a wildcard into the Madrid Open as world No. 194 and defeated Leylah Fernandez to become the third-youngest player ever to win a main-draw match at a WTA 1000 event.
Only months later, she broke into the top 50 after reaching the third round at Roland Garros and the Round of 16 at Wimbledon. In 2024, she continued her strong Grand Slam form, making the fourth round at the Australian Open and the semifinals at the French Open.

Andreeva claimed her first title at the WTA 250 Iasi Open in July 2024, defeating Elina Avanesyan in the final. She later finished runner-up at the WTA 500 Ningbo Open, losing to her friend Daria Kasatkina.
She found even more success in 2025 with back-to-back WTA 1000 titles in Dubai and Indian Wells, stringing together 13 consecutive wins. Notably, she beat Iga Swiatek (twice), Elena Rybakina (twice), and world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in the Indian Wells final.
She holds a career record of 133–39 (80.81%) and has earned over $5.2 million in prize money. She owns 9 career wins over top-10 players (record 9–9) and is the youngest player in the top 100. The next-youngest player, American Iva Jovic, is ranked No. 119.
Andreeva has also excelled in doubles recently. Alongside fellow Russian Diana Shnaider, she won a silver medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, falling to Italy’s Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini in the final. The pair continued their partnership in 2025, winning titles at the WTA 500 Brisbane International and the WTA 1000 Miami Open.
