"I would like to leave a mark in tennis" says Paula Badosa

Paula Badosa left a huge mark on the 2021 season being one of the biggest breakout stars on the WTA tour but she would like to extend that to tennis in general.

It's bene a great year for Paula Badosa but the Spaniard is far from her ultimate goals that are represented in the desire to win a grand slam. The Spaniard came fairly close this year at Roland Garros and while she is not considered a favourite for those events the Spaniard is slowly working her ways towards the top. She is one of the better tennis players in the world and speaking to Punto de Break she said:

"I would like to be something more, to leave a mark in tennis for different things. I think that by explaining what I feel or what I have gone through at certain times I can help a lot to young people who are starting out."

Badosa referenced there her own struggles with mental health which she shared openly many times before underlining the importance of such conversations oping to help others cope with their own struggles. She also explained that she always dreamed big:

"I always dreamed of winning big tournaments and this is one of them. There were also negative things, like starting the year with COVID and a 21-day confinement, that was very hard. The defeat at Roland Garros was something that hurt me a lot, but you learn from everything."
