Jessica Pegula continued to play strong tennis as the American remains unbothered with everything around her, putting forward another strong win 7-5 6-1.
Pegula has played the most consistent tennis all year long and it's showing in Australia. Not caving under pressure, she just keeps winning and playing her game which is one of the heaviest on Tour. Not many players could hold a rally against her and Krejcikova certainly could not for the entire length of the match.
She had some good moments in this one but generally could not withstand the impeccable ball-striking of Pegula. The first set was a really strong one as Pegula was on top early but struggled to close it out a bit. Eventually, she did 7-5 and it was all easier from there on out. The second set was 6-2 in her favour as she had more winners than unforced errors cruising to a 6-2 finish.
