Chris Evert believes Steffi Graff should get more credit for what she achieved in her career taking the Golden Slam as an example.
The Golden Slam Graff achieved in her career marked its 34th anniversary this year and Chris Evert paid tribute to it by highlighting that the German player does not get enough credit for what she has done in the sport.
In 1988, Graff became the first and only player to complete a golden slam which includes winning all four grand slams including the gold medal at the Olympics. Evert reacted to a post by US Open Tennis on the achievement writing:
Not enough credit is given to Steffi," Chris Evert wrote on Twitter, replying to a post from the US Open. "She was relentless in her power game, her movement, her mental strength, and her competitiveness. Winning the Golden Slam will be almost impossible to replicate….and she achieved it with her trademark humility...#alsoaGOAT."
