(VIDEO) No handshake exchanged between Kasatkina and Tsurenko amid Russia-Ukraine tensions with a simple wave instead

It was victory for Daria Kasatkina to reach the fourth round at the 2023 Madrid Open but there was no handshake post-match with Ukrainian, Lesia Tsurenko amid war tensions.
Kasatkina gave her a polite wave instead at the net when Tsurenko walked past her with the former considering changing nationalities previously and speaking out against the war.
