Emma Raducanu had her big break last year on the hard courts of North America and she is already preparing for that part of the season.
Raducanu played a couple of events leading up to the US Open but she did not play as well as she would at Flushing Meadows. Raducanu was a qualifier at US Open winning three rounds to get into the main draw but she smashed everyone en route to her maiden grand slam trophy.
One year later, the Brit is yet to add another trophy to her tally with a troubling prospect looming. Should Raducanu play as funky as she did so far she is in danger of losing the vast majority of her points and dropping heavily on the rankings.
To avoid that, Raducanu opted for early travels to the US where she is already practising ahead of returning to tennis. She's in Bradenton, Florida, practising at the IMG Academy there.
