Alexander Zverev and Jannik Sinner shared a private jet flight to Dubai just one day after facing off in the Australian Open final. The German World No. 2 shared a photo from their seats, joking about his loss to the 3-time Grand Slam champion.
On Sunday, an impressive Sinner claimed a 6-3, 7-6(4), 6-3 victory to lift his second Melbourne title and extend his current winning streak to 21 matches, the longest of his career. Sinner hasn’t lost a match since the final of the China Open against Carlos Alcaraz back in September 2024.
For Zverev, this marks his third Grand Slam final loss. He appeared emotional during the trophy ceremony but seemed to have moved past the disappointment, joking in his social media post alongside Sinner. Both players traveled to Dubai to focus on their training over the coming days.
Sinner will only stay a few days in Dubai, as he is set to play in the ATP 500 Rotterdam Open starting February 3. Zverev, on the other hand, will head to the Golden Swing in South America, with his next match scheduled for February 10 at the Argentina Open.
Zverev shared a story on his social media showing the two of them seated on the jet. "Well, at least I'm ahead of him this time," joked the World No. 2.
