ATP Ranking Top 10 shake-up after China Open - Jannik Sinner breaks into Top 5 while Holger Rune and Stefanos Tsitsipas drop

This week sees a shake-up within the Top 10 of the ATP Ranking following the events of the China Open.
Eight of the Top 10 were present at the ATP 500 tournament in Beijing, with World No. 1 Novak Djokovic and No. 8 Taylor Fritz being the only two players opting to skip the event.
Sixth seed Jannik Sinner won the tournament, defeating top seed Carlos Alcaraz in the semi-final and second seed Daniil Medvedev in the final, both in straight sets. As a result, the Italian player also gained 500 ranking points.
Sinner breaks into Top 5 as Tsitsipas drops out of it
Consequently, Sinner has risen three places in the ATP Ranking from seventh to World No. 4, thus breaking into the Top 5 for the first time in his career. This also means that Stefanos Tsitsipas has dropped from World No. 5 to No. 6 after a difficult time in Beijing, where he lost to Nicolas Jarry in the opening round.
Meanwhile, Holger Rune looks in danger of falling out of the Top 5 after entering it for the first time a couple of months ago. The Dane, who currently sits at No. 5, has had a lot of deep runs this season overall but had a tricky time on the North American Swing over the summer, including suffering many early exits.
This was not helped by a painful back injury which led him to withdraw from some tournaments. He was ousted in the second round of the China Open by Grigor Dimitrov.
Another player who dropped slightly was Andrey Rublev, who went down one place from World No. 6 to No. 7. The Russian has had a solid run at several recent tournaments, including when he reached the quarter-final of the US Open. However, he was defeated in the second round of the China Open by French player Ugo Humbert after a three-set battle.
Outside of this, the Top 10 has stayed the same for now, with Djokovic still out in front while Alcaraz and Medvedev close out the Top 3, and Fritz, Casper Ruud, and Alexander Zverev sit at No. 8, No. 9, and No. 10 respectively.
