ATP Rankings Update: Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev drop as Jannik Sinner dominates as World No.1

The ATP Rankings have been updated for the final time this season with Jannik Sinner leading the way by some distance after adding the title in Turin ending what has been a pretty special season for the Italian.

Sinner succeeded in claiming the ATP Finals title at the second attempt as he saw off Taylor Fritz 6-4, 6-4 in the title clash on Sunday evening. It added 1,500 ranking points to his collection as he moves closer to 12,000 points. He is currently on 11,830 compared to 7,915 from Alexander Zverev.

Taylor Fritz also benefited which saw others drop. In reaching the final, he is up to World No.4, a new career high which sees him overtake Daniil Medvedev and also Novak Djokovic.

The latter drops this week after failing to defend his title in Turin. Casper Ruud takes his spot sitting on 4,255 points. The Norwegian reached the semi-finals in Turin.

While Stefanos Tsitsipas despite a great start to the year ends it outside the top 10 for the first time since 2018. He finished then as World No.15. He showed signs of improvement in the latter half of the year but failed to reach the ATP Finals which saw him drop. It's not as stark as 2018 though as he sits World No.11 so merely on the cusp.
