Big names, big teams – Zverev, Fritz, and Shelton join Indian Wells doubles draw

The doubles pairs for the upcoming Indian Wells tournament have been revealed, featuring exciting names in the draw, including Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz, Grigor Dimitrov, Tommy Paul, and Ben Shelton.

The ATP Tour returns to the USA with the first tournament of the Sunshine Double and the first Masters 1000 of the year. The doubles draw will feature several of the world’s top singles players, both in the men’s and women’s events, with many big names we don’t often see outside of singles competition.

ATP Doubles

The men’s draw is headlined by the world No. 1 duo of Mate Pavic and Marcelo Arevalo, reigning champions of the French Open and Cincinnati Open, as well as finalists at the most recent ATP Finals and Rome Open. Other top-seeded pairs include Heliovaara/Patten, Krawietz/Puetz, and Bolelli/Vavassori.

However, it’s not just the doubles specialists who will draw attention, as several top singles players will also team up for the doubles competition. Sebastian Korda will pair with Jordan Thompson, while Alexander Zverev will join forces with Brazilian doubles specialist Marcelo Melo.

The American contingent will have some exciting teams, including rising stars Ben Shelton and Alex Michelsen, as well as top-10 singles players Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul.

Meanwhile, Italy will also be well represented, with Flavio Cobolli and Lorenzo Musetti, as well as Matteo Berrettini teaming up with Lorenzo Sonego. Other notable duos include Jack Draper with Tomas Machac and Arthur Fils alongside Ugo Humbert.
