Incredible match that has taken an irregular Carlos Alcaraz that Arthur Fils had in many moments against the ropes. He started badly again, conceding the first set and then he had bad moments in the other two sets, but he ended up solving them to win by 4-6/7-5/6-3. He meets Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the semis;

The first set had numerous errors, was irregular, was very even with both players very bad with their serves. Carlitos was penalized for entering the match late, very badly, accumulating a disadvantage on the scoreboard that he could not equalize at the end of the set. As we said, both were horrible with their serves but the Frenchman was more effective taking advantage of the 3 break balls he had while Alcaraz only won 2 of the 9 he had. The old ghosts of the Murcian were back, missing break points. Fils took the set 6-4.

At the beginning of the second set Carlitos saved several complicated situations including several break balls against him, something he had not been able to do in the first set. Although without improving his game too much, he kept his serves and was 3-2 in favor. However, he did not take advantage of his next serve to squeeze his opponent and sent four returns out allowing his opponent to equalize at 3-3. The rhythm of the exchanges slowed down at that moment of the match and the points were faster.

With 4-3 on the scoreboard they told Charlie from the bench to serve as in fast court, stronger, risking more. The Spaniard was subtracting from far from the baseline and it was working. In this second set he was riding on the line and was hitting a lot of returns straight down the line. No chance to the rest in the whole set until that moment with four equal on the scoreboard.

Both players were holding their serves with ease and things were getting hotter and hotter, especially for Carlitos who could not afford any mistake: 5-5. Madness in the next game with Carlitos coming back from 0-40 down. Zambombazo after zambombazo of the Gaul who could not take a game that was half a match for him.

The dead was very much alive. Carlitos, after overcoming his worst moment, pressed on the service of his rival and ended up closing the set by 7-5. Incredible, the duel was going to the third set;

Despite taking the second set, the match did not change and Fils continued to be the most in tune at the beginning of the third set. Thus, the Frenchman broke the Spaniard's serve and took the lead on the scoreboard again close to victory.

However, the same thing happened again, when he was in a hurry he clawed it back, broke his rival again and equalized the final set at 3-3. And he did not stop there, he pressed, he returned to break the service to a Fils who did not understand what was happening and, despite the support of the stands, did not understand how to have half a match in his pocket to lose it.

Thus, Carlitos won the third set and took an incredible duel.
