The organizers of the Citi Open Washington announced that this summer's event will be held at full 100% fan capacity, with the added bonus of restoring player prize money to the full amount.
Following a difficult 2020 season that saw numerous tournaments get cancelled due to the global pandemic, the Citi Open directors stated that they had received approval to host this year's event at full fan capacity. Furthermore, they would be adding $750,000 to the player prize pool.
"We’re thrilled to share that capacity restrictions have been lifted, and the 2021 Citi Open will be held at full 100% fan capacity!" said the official Citi Open Twitter account. "We'll be restoring player prize money to full amounts (adding $750,000), following a challenging year for many players’ earnings."

Rafael Nadal slated to compete at this year's event, there will not be a shortage of star power.
Nick Kyrgios won the last edition in 2019, and the Aussie will be there to defend his title this summer.
