Another day, another meltdown for
Daniil Medvedev at the
Monte-Carlo Masters with the Russian chucking his racquet against the backboard due to another dodgy line-call before he was defeated by his compatriot. He hit a double fault to be broken before throwing his racquet.
Medvedev was 15-30 at 5-5 and the line judge missed the call, he lost the point at 15-40 and was broken. He then went on to be defeated by Khachanov in the very next game 6-3, 7-5 and follows another dubious call during his win over Gael Monfils yesterday where instead of a racquet, it was the umpire and an umbrella.
“Who will take action? Yesterday the ball is out. It’s called in. This ball is out there. Who will take responsibility? It’s not my responsibility to referee the matches. It’s this guy in the glasses. He doesn’t need glasses because he doesn't see anything," he said.
“It’s 15-30 at 5-5. He should be out of the clay court circle. Why? It’s the 2nd day in a row. Open your eyes. Open your freaking eyes. Do something. It’s out.”
