Jannik Sinner is ready to debut at Wimbledon after securing his first grass-court title at the ATP 500 Halle Open. The world No. 1 won his fourth title of the season last week, raising his 2024 record to 38-3.
Sinner’s stellar season has him as the top seed for the second time in a Grand Slam, and he will debut on Monday against Yannik Hanfmann. The Italian was a semifinalist at SW19 in 2023 and hopes that his recent grass-court title is a perfect omen for seeking his second Grand Slam title.

Sinner ready to shine at Wimbledon

The Italian will play his 4th Wimbledon draw, having reached the quarterfinals in 2022 and semifinals in 2023, both times losing to Novak Djokovic. Sinner used the ATP 500 Halle Open as a preparatory tournament and ended up winning the title by defeating Hubert Hurkacz in the final.
Sinner expressed upon his arrival at the All England Club that he is satisfied with the level he showed in Halle and it fills him with confidence before his Wimbledon debut: "Obviously I'm happy how I played last week. I'm trying to find a good form here on these courts," he said. "I feel like, especially on grass, when you have good confidence with yourself, it can help you. Obviously last week for me was an important week.
"Last year I played semis here, so in my mind I know that I can play also some good tennis on this surface. Obviously every year is a bit different," the world No. 1 Jannik Sinner added. "I'm just building my confidence here on this court. That's it. Thinking about seeding or all the rest, it doesn't make any sense. Everyone wants to win and show their best here," Sinner concluded.
