Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies have discussed their heroes growing up ahead of the ATP Cup which starts shortly with the Grand Slam winners tipping their hat to a legend.
Krawietz said that Roger Federer was the biggest one, as well as the likes of Marat Safin and Lleyton Hewitt.
Boris Becker and Tommy Haas are two countrymen though that they would take aspects of their game from despite that but Federer is one of the best for both players.
"Roger Federer was one of the biggest for us, but also Marat Safin and Lleyton Hewitt for their style of play and personalities.
If I could take one shot of a compatriot, it would be the Becker serve. Such power and placement" - said Krawietz.
"My idol was Becker growing up, but I liked watching Roger, Haas, and the German guys. I’d certainly take the one-handed backhand of Haas, which was so smooth" - Mies added.
