Maria Sharapova officially retired last year and the last coach she worked with was Ricardo Piatti from 2019 till 2020.
The Russian former player traveled to Paris this week and while there she used some of her free time to team up and spend some time with her former coach. Among many people that accompanied the duo was Piatti's current trainee
Jannik Sinner who is playing at the Paris Masters event. It's a crucial event for Sinner who is looking to secure enough points in order to compete at the ATP Finals in Turin.
The Russian posted photos of the group on her official Twitter page writing 'My Italian family in Paris'. It's not yet clear how long Sharapova will stay in Paris considering she spends the majority of her time back home in the US. Perhaps we will see the former pro sitting in Sinner's box during one of his matches. It remains to be seen but it seems the pairing are well acquainted through a coach they shared.
