Lorenzo Musetti defeated compatriot Luca Nardi today taking just under an hour to win 6-0 6-0 at the
Monte-Carlo Masters.
Musetti has been known as a superb clay player but he took it further today by smashing compatriot Nardi in two sets. He won both sets 6-0 which is known as a double bagel something that's not been seen since 1997 at the Monte-Carlo Masters. It was Alex Corretja who got it done back then and now Musetti joins him on that list.
The Italian handed Kecmanovic a bagel yesterday as well so now he's won 3 consecutive sets 6-0 6-0. It's unlikely he will do that in the next match as he faces Novak Djokovic, a player he played before. It was at Roland Garros two years ago when the Italian was up 2-0 in sets but then retired in the 5th set.
Rematch coming up in Monte-Carlo.
