The
Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS) spectacle will return in 2024, as the city of Frankfurt, Germany has been selected to host a future edition of the exhibition event.
Highly popular among fans, the Ultimate Tennis Showdown will feature eight ATP superstars, and is scheduled to run from October 17-20, 2024 at the 5,000-seat Suwag Energie Arena in Frankfurt. The eight athletes will compete in two round-robin groups, with the top two in each group moving through to the semi-finals. Each player will compete for a share of the total prize pot of $1.665 million, with a maximum $421,800 available to the winner.
Monfils, Thiem, Tiafoe confirmed for the high-octane event
The all-star field will feature superstars who are familiar faces at the event, as Frenchman
Gael Monfils has been announced as a competitor. Austrian
Dominic Thiem, known as "The Dominator" returns to UTS for a third time, having played in the inaugural event in 2020 and in the Oslo competition in 2024, while
Frances Tiafoe, referred to as "Big Foe" is back, after making his debut in UTS Los Angeles last year.
The event will be played over four days, with more sessions than last year's edition.
The winner of the event will qualify automatically for the season-ending UTS Grand Final. Russian Andrey Rublev will be present, having beaten Alex de Minaur, “The Demon”, in the final of Oslo, the first stop on the UTS Tour in 2024. UTS will also be in New York for the first time, on August 22-23, before moving over to Frankfurt.
