Serbia’s Davis Cup team coach Viktor Troicki has revealed that legendary tennis star Novak Djokovic will be part of the team for the team's upcoming clash against Denmark. The clash will take place on January 31 and February 01st in Copenhagen.

Troicki has been recently quoted in a report where he confirmed that the former world number one will be part of the Serbia team for the upcoming clash. "In agreement with our tennis players, we are registering the strongest team, which will be led by Novak Djokovic,” he said. “The first Grand Slam of the season in Australia is also ahead for everyone and we are waiting to see the results they will achieve in that tournament and accordingly some changes are possible before the tie itself.”

He continued by saying: “The plan is to go with the strongest team and always have the highest possible expectations against any opponent. It's the same now against Denmark. We will all be coming together from Australia to Europe, to Copenhagen.”

The development is an interesting one considering the fact that Djokovic, who is regarded as the greatest player in the history of men’s tennis in the singles category in the Open era, having won as many as 24 Grand Slam titles, will feature in the upcoming Australian Open as well. The first Grand Slam of 2025 will be played from January 12 to 26 in Melbourne, where players from all over the world will participate to showcase their talent and secure the ultimate prize. It will be interesting to see whether the Belgrade-born star will have enough fitness to compete in such an important contest so soon after playing in a Grand Slam at the age of nearly 38.

Other members of the Serbia team will be young sensation Hamad Medjedovic, Laslo Djere and Dusan Lajovic. On the other hand, team Denmark will feature the likes of world number 13 Holger Rune, Elmer Moller, August Holmgren and Johannes Ingildsen.
