The Quarter-Finals start on Tuesday at the 2025 Australian Open with Tommy Paul v Alexander Zverev and Carlos Alcaraz v Novak Djokovic starting proceedings off. Our poll allows you to have your say about the winner of the 2025 Australian Open.
Paul and Zverev being the first two options as the first Quarter-Final. What of the American who is the 12th seed but will be top 10 at least from next week onwards.
He saw off Christopher O'Connell in a real first round scare and hasn't been troubled much since. He saw off Kei Nishikori, Roberto Carballes Baena and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina en route to the Quarter-Final.
He has previously reached the semi-finals at the Australian Open in 2023 where he lost to Novak Djokovic but will look to dump out the second seed in this case Zverev.
A player that has gone about his business with little fan fare but has seen off fairly easy tests in heralded Brit Jacob Fearnley and lastly Ugo Humbert. So the true test will be Paul.
Then onto the other Quarter-Final in this section and one that will likely gleam the favourite for a final with another player down the line in the poll as Novak Djokovic will face Carlos Alcaraz.
A true meeting of two of the best in the game and past, present and future feel to it. Djokovic has batted away critics including Tony Jones and some tough tests thus far while Alcaraz has been sublime. Another meeting awaits but will it be Wimbledon or will it be Olympics in terms of the result.
The winner will be favourite to face Jannik Sinner in the final who will face Alex de Minaur. Sinner has a 9-0 Head to Head record against the Australian who keeps getting better but the Italian has a Djokovic-Monfils 20-0 stranglehold on him which he seemingly won't release.
But given Sinner was shaking during his win over Holger Rune and obviously wasn't 100%, it might be the perfect chance. It is just that for the final match as Lorenzo Sonego faces Ben Shelton.
An open quarter after the demise of Fritz and Medvedev turned into Sonego who saw off Joao Fonseca and also Shelton who defeated Gael Monfils, the conqueror of the American. So no matter what an interesting name will face Sinner likely. But who takes the crown, have your say below.
