Previous exhibition featuring Alcaraz and Nadal cancelled after withdrawals

Tennis exhibition in Las Vegas between Alcaraz and Nadal was cancelled altogether after the stars both pulled out with injuries.

The event in Las Vegas was a highly anticipated exhibition event that had a lot of interest from many but in a disaster twist for the organizers, both star players pulled out. Nadal and Alcaraz were supposed to play each other as part of the MGM event on March 5th but both will be unable to play. Nadal's withdrawal came much earlier because his injury happened at the Australian Open and it became clear pretty early that he would not able to make it.

Alcaraz's injury is a more recent one (Rio Open) and his withdrawal came recently. Due to the unpredictable nature of the whole sequence, the organisers were forced to cancel the event altogether.
