Roberto Bautista Agut played a very solid match to take down Andy Murray in straight sets 6-3 6-2 at the Swiss Indoors.
This was a very interesting matchup that started off largely as many expected it to. We saw plenty of long rallies as the score was 3-3 after 40 minutes of play. It was a shaky start by both as they both dropped serve in the first few games as well. Ultimately Bautista Agut established control of the match with his far less error-prone game.
Both were rather aggressive and both were taking shots but Murray missed plenty of chances in this match. Bautista had to save multiple break points to hold on and win the match and he was able to do so. The second set featured a more dominant score but it wasn't any less complicated.
Murray still applied pressure and he was able to create break point chances but he was unable to convert them. Bautista saved seven of eight break points which showcased the big problem for Murray. He simply did not play the most important rallies as well as he needed to. Bautista broke him twice in the final set to close it out 6-2.
