The
St. Petersburg Open 2020 is coming to a close at the weekend and the semifinal day on Saturday will feature a strong schedule of play.
The Schedule of play for Saturday at the St. Petersburg open will feature two very interesting matches and only one Russian which is a bit surprising. The sole Russian left in the field is
Andrey Rublev who will play in the first semifinal against
Denis Shapovalov. It's a fantastic match especially given what the players in question have done in Russia so far. Both Rublev and Shapovalov have been stellar all week so a fascinating match should be expected. The boost from the crowd will lift Rublev but will it be enough against the soaring Canadian?
The 2nd semifinal is a strong match as well albeit not quite as interesting as the first one.
Milos Raonic has been playing exemplary tennis all week long smashing formidable opponents en route to the semifinal. While many thought he would be facing Medvedev, Opelka ended that dream. He then lost to Coric so we got the Raonic versus Coric semifinal. It should be a good one as well as the Croatian has been rather good lately but Raonic is the favourite and he should be expected to win this one.
St. Petersburg Open 2020 Saturday Schedule of Play:
