In a day of crazy matches in Monte-Carlo, the one between Tsitsipas and Schwartzman saw two players choke away wins with the Greek eventually pulling through 6-2 6-7(3) 6-4.
Oh boy, what a day in Monte-Carlo concluded with another crazy match. A day of 3-setter in Monaco concluded with the craziest of them all between Tsitsipas and Schwartzman where both players threw away the win. As in every match, one player had to win and it was Tsitsipas after engineering a spectacular comeback with a lot of help from Schwartzman.
Tsitsipas opened the match in stellar fashion as he broke Schwartzman immediately to start the match and he didn't stop after that. He added another break to take a 5-0 lead and the Argentinian only narrowly avoided a bagel. At 5-1, Tsitsipas had a mini-choke not serving it out on his serve but he quickly ended the set with 6-2 after another break.
The 2nd set featured more battles but Tsitsipas once again took the early lead. Schwartzman had a couple of very long matches this week and it showed. He was simply too sluggish at times and the Greek cruised to a 5-2 lead. From that point on Schwartzman won 11 points in a row to break back and make it 5-5. We ended up in a tiebreak and it was Diego who proved dynamite racing to a 7-3 finish.
At the start of the 3rd set, Tsitsipas was out of rhythm and he allowed himself to fall behind 0-4 with the Argentinian completely dominating rallies. Then it was time for him to choke as he lost his serve once to give life to Tsisipas and then once more to completely allow him to battle back. By that point, Tsitsipas was fully in rhythm and he added another break finishing it off with 6-4. Incredible!

Defending champ Stefanos Tsitsipas was 6-2, 5-2 up, but then had to comeback from 0-4 down in the 3rd to beat Diego Schwartzman 2-6, 7-6(3), 6-4 and reach the semifinals in Monte Carlo. Big match tomorrow vs. Zverev.
