The Brisbane International is a combined ATP 250 and WTA 500 tournament which will take place between December 29 - January 5. The prize money has now been confirmed ahead of the action getting underway on the ATP side.
There is $766,290 on offer in total in the ATP draw which is led by Novak Djokovic as well as Holger Rune, Grigor Dimitrov who is defending champion. Also it hosts the return of Nick Kyrgios as well as Frances Tiafoe, Alejandro Tabilo, Alexei Popyrin and home hero Jordan Thompson.
In event of winning, the victor claims $96,985 with 250 points. While for reaching the final, it is 165 points alongside $56,580. Semi-finalists seal $33,055 with 100 points. The prize money goes all the way down to the first round with $6,580 for reaching that point.
A tournament that returned after a four year hiatus in 2024 saw Dimitrov lift the trophy. The 2025 edition again will be held at the Queensland Tennis Centre. Previously Roger Federer won the title back in 2015 where he also claimed his 1000th match win.
Djokovic in particular leads the field this year in an interesting move from the all conquering Serbian. Ordinarily not a tournament he would play, Djokovic chose United Cup in 2024 instead but under new coach Andy Murray albeit without him present, he is looking to return to his best in 2025. As a result he has chosen Brisbane to begin his campaign.
