For the first time in more than a decade, two American men are ranked inside the ATP Ranking as Frances Tiafoe and Taylor Fritz continue to set the pace for US men's tennis.
Following his victory in Stuttgart last week, Tiafoe climbed two spots to a career-high of World No.10. Additionally, he also became the first Black American to reach the Top 10, joining Arthur Ashe and James Blake.
"[I am] a guy who shouldn't even really be here doing half the things he's doing," Tiafoe said, according to the ATP Tour. "And now when you say his name, you can say he's Top 10 in the world. So [that is] something that no one can take from you and I'm going to remember that forever.
"Hopefully I can ride that for a long time."
Fritz, who currently sits at World No.8, reached a career high of No.5 in February. The duo are the first American men to hold a Top 10 spot since Mardy Fish and John Isner in May 2012.
