Andre Agassi and Boris Becker had numerous clashes with Agassi usually getting the better off Becker and in this video, he revealed a big key to it.
Andre Agassi turned 51 on April 29th and to remember the legend Tennis TV posted a video on their official Twitter page where Agassi reveals how he read one of the best serves at that time. The serve of course belongs to Boris Becker with whom Agassi clashed several times but interestingly never in a huge final.
In the video, Agassi speaks about how Becker defeated him the first three times they played because his serve gave him an advantage that Agassi could not overcome. Andre said:
"Well, I watched tape after tape of him and I started to realise he had this weird tick with his tongue. I'm not kidding. He would go into his rocking motion, his same routine and just as he was about to toss the ball, he would stick his tongue out."
Agassi proceeded to explain how his tongue would either be in the middle of his lip or to the left corner of his lip. Agassi also explained how he was actually tipping his serves because the position of his tongue actually gave away his serve.
Agassi also explained how he had to carefully choose his moments in order to conceal the fact he could read his serve before Boris even hit it. Speaking about when he finally told him about it Agassi said:
"I told him at Oktoberfest, we went out in Germany, had a pint of beer together and I could not help but say: 'By the way, did you know you used to do this and give away his serve'. He about fell of the chair and he said 'I used to go home all the time and tell my wife...it's like he reads my mind."
