Frances Tiafoe showed off his trademark humour as the panel at the Charlotte Invitational exhibition tournament bizarrely were quizzed on the
Iga Swiatek and
Jannik Sinner doping cases.
Big news in the tennis world with Swiatek just finishing a suspension after testing positive for substance TMZ, Tiafoe was part of a panel including
Sloane Stephens who answered first promptly trying to diffuse the questioning.
"We will not be commenting on that sorry," said Stephens. But after a diplomatic response from the former US Open champion came hilarity from Tiafoe.
"I didn't even hear about it," he joked deadpanned as the others on the panel including
Madison Keys and
Carlos Alcaraz laughed.
The quartet are in Charlotte tonight for an exhibition with Alcaraz after winning the Garden Cup at MSG went to Charlotte for the Invitational as he ends his season in full starting his preparation for next year. He faces Tiafoe, while Stephens rematches Keys in a re-run of the US Open final.
