Selecting the greatest player of all time (GOAT) is a topic of division among tennis fans, but former British No.1 Tim Henman believes he knows the answer to that question.

The tennis player-turned-analyst was asked to give his opinion on whom he believes is the GOAT among male players. Like most people in the tennis community, the answer always comes down to one of the Big Three of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.

Henman voices his opinion

The former World No.4 faced all three legends during his career. Henman never defeated Nadal or Djokovic, losing twice to the Spaniard and once to the Serbian Superstar. Henman did manage to defeat Federer on six out of their 13 meetings, but only one came after the Swiss Maestro had won his first Grand Slam title.

In an interview with TalkSPORT, Henman was asked to select whom he believes to be the greatest player of all time, and the retired British star opted to go choose based on quantity.

"For me, it’s fairly straightforward that Djokovic is the greatest male player of all time," said Henman. "How do you judge that? I think it does become a numbers game, it’s who has won the most Grand Slams, who has had the most weeks at number one, who has won the most Masters 1000 – and it’s Djokovic.
“So for me, it’s a pretty straightforward conversation that Djokovic is the greatest male player of all time."

With both Federer and Nadal retired, Djokovic has the opportunity to add even more Major trophies to his already record 24 Grand Slam titles.
