Alexander Zverev predicted
Daniil Medvedev to win his first trophy on clay because it would be funny to see him win a trophy on a surface he hates openly.
Medvedev is known to be picky about his surfaces admitting recently that he wants all events to be hard courts events. He's okay with grass but doesn't really like clay and never has, calling it a damaged surface more than once. In a video posted by the ATP, Zverev predicted Medvedev to win his first clay trophy admitting it would be funny to see:
"Daniil Medvedev [laughs] because I just love how much he hates clay. It'll be funny to see."
Nobody else picked Medvedev to win his first trophy on clay but some other players made interesting predictions. The Russian himself promised to try and improve on clay this year so we'll see if it comes true. You can see the video in question below.
