History of the Rouen Open

The Rouen Open, also known as the Open Capfinances Rouen Métropole, was introduced in 2022. Initially, it was a WTA 125-level tournament. In 2024, the tournament received an upgrade and became a WTA 250-level event.
The competition takes place on indoor clay courts and is scheduled during the same week as the WTA 500-level Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, Germany.
