In a new Daily Dose of Social Media, we take a look at some of the standout moments from the ATP and WTA stars, with Andy Murray stealing the laughs after a hilariously cheeky comment to Jack Draper—who never seems to escape his compatriot’s jokes.

Murray teases Draper with a cheeky Instagram comment

Andy Murray left a hilarious comment on Jack Draper's latest social media post as the current British No. 1 prepares for the clay swing. The 3-time Grand Slam champion has always had a great relationship with Draper, whom he has known since his junior days, and has often joked with him on social media. Murray once again showcased his great sense of humour by commenting on his compatriot’s post.

Draper is back in London, training at the Lawn Tennis Center as he begins his clay-court preparations, alongside fellow Brit Jacob Fearnley, currently ranked world No. 73. In the first photo of a set shared by Draper, the former world No. 1 poked fun at the Indian Wells champion’s hair. "Not sure if you noticed but I think a bird has 💩 on your hair in that photo 🙏."

Collins brings her dog Quincy to post-match interview

Danielle Collins had a unique on-court interview with a special guest after securing her place in the Charleston Open quarter-finals. The American is defending her title at the WTA 500 event and has now extended her Charleston winning streak to eight matches. She overcame a tough battle against former Roland Garros champion Jelena Ostapenko and celebrated in a special way—with her dog Quincy ("Mr Q"), who had already stolen the spotlight when she won the Miami Open last year.

This time, after wrapping up her match, Collins went to fetch her dog and brought him along for her on-court interview. "Yeah, I just think going into each match with a positive mindset and enjoying my time out here," said Collins. "I’m really having a lot of fun. I’m sure you guys could kind of tell. I mean, I’m pretty intense out there, but I do really enjoy this, and I just love the home crowd support too."

ATP Houston stars hilariously imitate clay court sounds

A fun video from the U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship features some of the tournament’s top stars hilariously imitating the sound of clay courts. The ATP 250 event kicked off on Monday with a star-studded draw led by home favourites. Among the players featured in the video are Tommy Paul, Frances Tiafoe, Alejandro Tabilo, and Kei Nishikori.

The tournament, held in Houston, is finalizing its quarter-final lineup, with five local players already securing their spots after impressive performances. There is even a possibility of an unprecedented all-American quarter-final lineup, as the remaining matches determine the last spots. With defending champion Ben Shelton opting to play the Ultimate Tennis Showdown exhibition this week, Houston is guaranteed a new champion.

Fucsovics overcomes full-body cramp to win in Bucharest

Marton Fucsovics secured a remarkable victory at the Bucharest Open to reach the quarter-finals after suffering a full-body cramp during the match. The Hungarian faced clay specialist and seventh seed Mariano Navone in the round of 16. Fucsovics, whose recent seasons have been plagued by inconsistent results and injuries, endured a difficult moment in the deciding set while leading 4-3 with a break chance on Navone’s serve.

After a long rally that ended with an unforced error from Fucsovics, the Hungarian first grabbed his leg before collapsing due to a full-body cramp. The tournament's medical team quickly rushed to assist him, but after a few minutes of treatment, Fucsovics decided to continue. Though he failed to convert the break opportunity at that moment, he managed to hold his serve and later created more chances. This time, he took advantage, defeating the Argentine 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 to book his spot in the quarter-finals.

Up next, he will face Christopher O’Connell, who staged a stunning comeback against Nicolas Jarry, winning in a dramatic third-set tiebreak.

Lisicki shares training video ahead of 2025 return

Sabine Lisicki shared a recent training video as she prepares for her return to the courts. The German gave birth to her first daughter, Bella, back in September 2024. Despite her age and motherhood, Lisicki is still hoping for one last shot at redemption on tour and plans to return to competition in 2025.

The former Wimbledon finalist was considered one of tennis’s biggest rising stars from an early age, reaching the 2013 Wimbledon final—the tournament where she thrived the most, holding a remarkable 27-9 (75%) record, numbers worthy of the world's best players.

Injuries were always a challenge for Lisicki, who underwent surgery in 2020 and spent nearly two years away from the courts. While retirement seemed likely, she made a comeback after 19 months and managed to lift her first title since 2015 at a 60K event in Calgary, briefly returning to the top 300. Now, just seven months after becoming a mother, Lisicki has shared a glimpse of her latest training session as she works towards her long-awaited return.
