Aryna
Sabalenka enjoys Dubai getaway with boyfriend ahead of WTA Finals
Aryna
Sabalenka seems to be in complete happiness, both on and off the court, as she
spends time with her boyfriend in Dubai. The World No. 1 shared a photoshoot of
her days in Dubai with her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, a young Brazilian who
owns Oakberry, a popular healthy fast-food chain present in 35 countries and a
sponsor of the Haas F1 team.
The
26-year-old Belarusian is preparing for her participation in the WTA Finals in
Riyadh next week, her final tournament of the season. Sabalenka has a strong
chance of finishing the year as World No. 1, which she can secure by advancing
through the round robin. If she doesn’t achieve at least two wins, she’ll need
to wait for the results from Swiatek, the defending champion.

Kostyuk shares insights at Vogue Ukraine Conference
Marta
Kostyuk attends Vogue Ukraine Conference on future visions in Kyiv. World No.
18 Marta Kostyuk recently concluded her season after a Round of 16 loss at the
Wuhan Open to Coco Gauff on October 10. Since then, the 22-year-old Ukrainian
has engaged in various activities with the Ukrainian government, including the
recent relaunch of her foundation.
The 2-time
Grand Slam semifinalist previously featured in a Vogue Ukraine photoshoot
alongside other Olympic and Paralympic athletes ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic
Games. Kostyuk is once again embracing her modeling side as she dives deeper
into the fashion world. “I picked up some key insights on how brands can evolve
to meet the needs of future generations,” she posted. “WGSN’s Future Consumer
2026 report was particularly captivating, especially its focus on upcoming
consumer profiles, the impact of exhaustion, and how small moments of joy can
help bring balance.”
Francisco
Cerundolo balances Paris Masters and River Plate fandom
Francisco
Cerundolo is competing in the Paris Masters, but his mind is also with his
favourite football team, Argentina’s River Plate. The world No. 29 had a strong
start at the final Masters 1000 of the year, defeating Frenchman Quentin Halys
(No. 90) in the first round with a score of 7-6(5), 6-3.
The
Argentine left a memorable image after the match, writing “Vamos River” on the
broadcast camera – a shoutout to his beloved club, which is currently in the
Copa Libertadores semi-finals facing Brazil’s Atletico Mineiro in the renowned
South American club tournament.
Fritz’s birthday
comes with new look and training with Alcaraz
Taylor
Fritz celebrated his 27th birthday while preparing for his debut at the Paris
Masters. The American No. 1 had little time for celebrations as his first match
is set for October 30, and he was spotted training with none other than 4-time
Grand Slam champion Carlos Alcaraz.
The ATP
posted a special birthday message for Fritz on social media, featuring a
compilation of photos from his season. In a recent interview, he shared the
story behind his bold hair colour change, explaining that after dyeing it
blond, he revealed that he had been considering the look for years: “I feel
like I’ve polled it every year at the Australian Open. I thought it was funny,
and I figured I’d just buzz it off if I hated it.”
Players’ party
glamour in Hong Kong
The WTA
shared photos from the latest players’ party at the Hong Kong Open, featuring
stars like
Simona Halep,
Leylah Fernandez,
Katie Boulter, and tournament

marked the tournament’s opening, with players dressed in traditional Hong Kong
attire.
The
tournament kicked off on Monday, 28th October, with Halep falling to local 6th
seed Yue Yuan and the surprise elimination of 4th seed Xinyu Wang. Top
contenders for the title include Diana Shnaider, Boulter, and Fernandez, with a
prize purse of $267,082 awaiting the next champion.
Swiatek shares
first days in Riyadh
Iga Swiatek
has arrived in Riyadh, gearing up to defend her title at the WTA Finals. The
world No. 2 has one last chance to end the season as the top-ranked player,
though she'll need Aryna Sabalenka, currently the favourite, to falter, given
Sabalenka’s impeccable form in recent months.
The Polish
star shared photos of her first days of training in Saudi Arabia, alongside her
team, enjoying the sights. Included in her team is her new coach Wim Fissette,
who joined her staff just a week ago after Swiatek ended her partnership with
Tomasz Wiktorowski.
Tsitsipas calls
fans to rally behind Greece in United Cup
Stefanos
Tsitsipas appeared in a promotional video for the United Cup, calling on fans
to support Greece in the mixed-gender nations tournament. The world No. 11 will
lead Greece alongside Maria Sakkari (No. 31), despite both experiencing drops
in the rankings this season, as not long ago they were both top-5 players.
Nevertheless,
the Greek team could be a strong contender with a pair of experienced singles
players and prominent figures in their respective tours. “You should come to
support us because we are gladiators; we play with passion, and we know how to
create a good team spirit,” said the two-time Grand Slam runner-up.
Arthur
Fils’ journey to stardom: ATP’s latest “Tour Origins” video
Arthur
Fils is one of the
standout names in the closing stages of the season and a top local star at the
Paris Masters. The 20-year-old recently clinched a title and reached the
semifinals at the Swiss Indoors Open (falling to Ben Shelton). The French
player has put together 13 consecutive wins at ATP 500 tournaments, including
his title at the Hamburg Open back in July.
The world No. 20 is the second-ranked French player, just behind Ugo Humbert
(No. 16), and seems poised to lead a new wave of French talent, alongside
Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, Arthur Cazaux, and Luca Van Assche.
After his
spectacular recent run, Fils was featured in a new ATP video that traces his
journey to success, starting with a brief interview at age 11 and exploring his
daily life, the neighborhood he comes from, and moments with his close circle.
