In a new Daily Dose of Social Media, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina joked with Carlos Alcaraz, ‘refusing’ to take a photo with him, in a playful exchange with a very special spectator: none other than Stefan Djokovic, the son of the 24-time Grand Slam champion. Also, Caroline Wozniacki and Roger Federer were spotted together at the Augusta Masters.
Meanwhile, just ahead of the WTA 500 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, Mirra Andreeva and Aryna Sabalenka shared some laughs during a practice session on Centre Court, just like Coco Gauff and Iga Swiatek, who also trained at a high level in preparation for the first tournament of the clay-court season.
Alejandro Davidovich Fokina had a light-hearted moment with Carlos Alcaraz at the start of their Monte Carlo Masters semifinal match. While the chair umpire was giving the pre-match instructions at the net—right before the coin toss and the official photo—Davidovich jokingly said, “I don’t want a picture with him,” with a smile. “It is what it is,” Alcaraz replied, laughing off the joke.
The 21-year-old Spaniard went on to earn an impressive 7-6, 6-3 victory, reaching the Monte Carlo final for the first time in his career. The two Spaniards share a strong off-court friendship, as Alcaraz confirmed after the match: “Yeah, he invited me to his wedding. He's a friend. We’ve known each other for a long time already.”
Alcaraz’s next challenge is the final against Lorenzo Musetti, where he’ll aim for his 6th Masters 1000 title. He also has the chance to surpass Alexander Zverev in the ATP Rankings and climb to World No. 2, just behind Jannik Sinner. So far, Alcaraz leads their head-to-head 3-1 (1-1 on clay).

The match between Davidovich Fokina and Alcaraz had a VIP spectator: Stefan Djokovic, the 10-year-old son of the 24-time Grand Slam champion.
Stefan was seen filming many of the points and paying close attention to Alcaraz’s game. Ever since Alcaraz burst onto the scene, Stefan has followed him closely, having been introduced to him through Novak Djokovic, who is proud of his son’s passion for tennis.
Years ago, Novak revealed that Stefan wasn’t just a huge Rafael Nadal fan anymore—he had a new idol: “In the last month, for my son, [Rafael] Nadal is no longer number one. Alcaraz is his favourite now. He really likes both. He imitates the way they play, Nadal's forehand, and the emotion, it's beautiful.”

Caroline Wozniacki joined 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer at the 89th Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta—one of the most prestigious sporting events of the year. Both tennis stars are Rolex ambassadors, a major sponsor of the event.
“I’ve been very busy travelling and working on my foundation with my family. We went to South Africa to visit school projects and help children get a better education,” Federer said upon arriving at the tournament.
“I’d like to start playing a bit of tennis again. I’d like to train a bit, two or three times a week. Hopefully, I’ll get to play exhibition matches again, fill stadiums around the world. Nothing is planned yet, but I miss it. I’ve barely played since retiring—my body and mind needed a break.”
Meanwhile, Wozniacki recently announced on social media that she’s expecting her third child with husband and former NBA player David Lee. “Officially switching to zone defense! Our family couldn’t be more excited to welcome baby #3 soon!” she posted a few days ago. The Danish star had returned to the Tour after giving birth to her first two children and competed over the past year, although she hasn’t played since the 2024 US Open.

Aryna Sabalenka and Mirra Andreeva reunited at the WTA 500 Stuttgart Open, the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Germany. Both players are part of a star-studded main draw as the European clay swing begins. Sabalenka and Andreeva shared a lighthearted moment, laughing and enjoying some fun exchanges on Stuttgart’s Centre Court. The WTA-posted video also shows Andreeva’s coach, former Wimbledon champion Conchita Martínez.
Sabalenka and Andreeva’s budding rivalry continues to grow as the 17-year-old Russian keeps rising on the WTA Tour. Andreeva recently defeated Sabalenka in the Indian Wells final, claiming her second consecutive WTA 1000 title and climbing to World No. 6, her career-best ranking. They’ve now met six times—three times this season—with World No. 1 Sabalenka leading the head-to-head 4–2, including 2–1 on clay courts.
Andy Murray celebrated his 10th wedding anniversary with his wife Kim Sears. The former World No. 1, who is currently part of Novak Djokovic’s coaching team, skipped the Monte-Carlo Masters to be with his family. When asked about Murray’s absence, Djokovic said on Sunday, “I have no idea, to be honest.”
Murray joined Djokovic’s camp earlier this year ahead of the Australian Open. While he hasn’t attended every tournament on the ATP schedule, the three-time Grand Slam champion has been present during key events like Indian Wells and the Miami Open.
Djokovic’s time in Monte-Carlo was brief, as he lost his opening match to Chilean Alejandro Tabilo, who also beat him last year on clay during the Italian Open. Djokovic now turns his focus to the Madrid Open, where he’ll be the 4th seed, aiming for his 100th career title. It remains unclear whether Murray will travel to Madrid, or wait a bit longer before rejoining the Serbian’s team.
Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff were another standout pairing seen training together ahead of the tournament. Swiatek has already won the title twice in Stuttgart, although last year she “only” reached the semi-finals, losing to Elena Rybakina in what was her only loss during the 2024 clay swing (with a record of 21–1). Stuttgart represents Swiatek’s only real opportunity to gain ranking points, given her near-impossible title defences in the next two months, including her wins at the WTA 1000 Madrid Open, Rome Open, and Roland Garros.
On the other hand, Gauff is looking to regain her best form, and clay is a surface where she adapts quickly. So far, she hasn’t gone past the fourth round in any of the four WTA 1000 events held this year, with a 13–5 record in 2024, currently placing her at No. 11 in the WTA Race. In fact, the 21-year-old recently dropped one spot to No. 4 in the WTA Rankings after Jessica Pegula reached the Miami Open final, overtaking Gauff as the top-ranked American.
