Alex De
Minaur shared images of his days off wither girlfriend
Katie Boulter in Capri,
Italy. The couple has had a great year on the court, both reaching their
highest-ever rankings in 2024, with De Minaur at world No. 6 and Boulter at
world No. 27.
Now, the
couple is preparing for the upcoming Olympics and decided to take a few days
off after their Wimbledon exits. However, they had different fortunes at SW19,
with Boulter surprisingly losing in the second round to Harriet Dart, while the
Australian reached the quarter-finals at the All England Club for the first
time but unfortunately had to withdraw against Novak Djokovic due to injury.
De Minaur
and Boulter recharge in Italy
After a
hectic schedule in recent months between the clay swing and the grass swing,
the week following Wimbledon was ideal for several players to take a few days
off. In this case, De Minaur and Boulter shared photos of their vacation on the
island of Capri in Italy, which also included pictures with De Minaur's family
and a photo at sea with British player
Jodie Burrage.
Meanwhile,
both are looking forward to their participation next week in Paris 2024, to be
held at Roland Garros. Boulter only has one appearance in the Roland Garros
main draw this year, where she fell in the first round, while De Minaur has a
7-8 record in the tournament, with his best result being reaching the
quarter-finals this year.
Neither has
previously competed in the Olympics. De Minaur was selected to represent
Australia at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics but was forced to withdraw due to testing
positive for Covid-19. As for Boulter, she had never qualified before, having
only reached the top 100 for the first time in 2023.
